About Sheet Metal Workers Local 270
On May 18, 1939, the Sheet Metal Workers International Association granted the current charter to Tulsa Local #270. It was stated that “Eligible building trade mechanics, located within the city of Tulsa will be identified as Sheet Metal Workers Local 270”. Since that day in 1939, members of Local 270 have set a standard of craftsmanship and commitment in the state of Oklahoma. From our apprenticeship education programs to our retirement pension plan, local 270 has set the bar for all construction trades. Our members, motivated by pride and brotherhood, are dedicated to the growth of not only the HVAC industry, but the growth of the construction industry as well. Local 270 does not stand alone in the progression of these industries. Contractors affiliated with Local 270 share in the development of our goals.
